book reviews

Last week I finished a book called "I survived: The Sinking of the Titanic." The book was fiction but it was something that actually did happen. I like how Lauren Tarshis made me feel like I was really there. With her characters words George said "The water was as cold as ice." I know that ice is very cold and freezing so I'm guessing that the Atlantic was very good, at being cold with there water.  George was the main character in the story also his Aunt Daisy and sister Phoebe. What happened in the story was that George, his aunt, and his sister were trying to go back to America to go see there grandpa. George was a very energetic kid and his sister was a bit of a nerd. George wanted to explore the titanic, when he went to the luggage room and he found and Egypt tumb and then he felt a shake, it was the titanic being hit by the iceberg. After, he felt the shake Aunt Daisy and Pheobe went to the deck to get lowered by the life boats. I would give the book a four because at the end of the book I wanted to know more about what happened but instead the author included the true story of the titanic. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to rush through the book just to find out what happens in the book that they are really into.

I finished reading a book called “The Titanic” and it was pretty good. It kind of had the same information then the other books but it provided more. They talked about the researchers that payed thousands just to find the ship. And how it took them almost 5 years just to locate, and make all the machines for the ship. A guy named Robert Balanik found the ship after 5 years of working towards it, he made a memorial and it is there right now like a shrine.
