Favorite Country #13

My favorite country is Guatemala. It is my favorite country because my grandma is from there. Guatemala is a country in Central America bordered by Mexico. The Pacific Ocean is southwest of Guatemala. Guatemala attained independence in 1821 as part of the Fedreal Republic of Cenral America, which dissolved in 1841. Guatemala’s capital and largest city is Guatemala. Most appropriate language spoke in Guatemala is Spanish. The president of Guatemala is “Jimmy Morales” and the Vice President is “Jafeth Cabrera.” Guatemala has the independence from the Spanish empire. “Guatemala” means “place of many trees” which is true because once you enter Guatemala it is surrounded with trees. Guatemala was declared from the first Mexican empire July 1, 1823. The population as of 2016 is 16,582,469 people. And Guatemala’s state bird is a quetzal and that is also what the money there is called.

Favorite Animal #14

My favorite animal is a zebra. I like zebras because of their stripes and because of the type of pattern they have. I like zebras because they are like horses and donkeys and I like horses to but I’d prefer zebras. My favorite type of zebra is a mountain zebra. There type of class is “Mammalian” and not many animals have that class. Did you know that each kind of zebra has different type of stripes or different patterns. But they’re the same color. Researchers believe that the stripes on zebras work like camouflage so they hide from their predators. Gratitude #15

Gratitude means to be grateful for something or someone.     I am grateful for my mom because she does everything around the house. She always asks me if I have homework so I don’t forget and get in trouble. She always asks for my help when it comes to heavy things so she doesn’t hurt herself. She always asks me if I am hungry so I don’t starve. She always asks if I’m okay because a mother knows when her daughter isn’t. She always tells me to look at what my dog is doing so I can realize how much more I have to appreciate in my life. She always says “I love you, have a good day at school” even if I don’t say anything back  I know she means it. She always says “How was school?” And I hit back with an attitude “Same as always mom (horrible).” My mom may thing I don’t notice the little things but I always see them coming one way or another.
